The South Kingstown girls’ soccer team lost a heart breaking game, 1-0, to East Greenwich on Thursday night.

The Avengers scored a goal with seconds remaining in the first half and then held of the Rebels’ potent offense.

The loss drops the Rebels to 10-2 and a tie for first for the southern division with the Avengers.

The Rebels will attempt to rebound soon when they take on Warwick Vets on Tuesday night at 6. p.m. at Curtis Corner Middle School.
