The South Kingstown girls’ tennis suffered another devastating loss to North Kingstown on Thursday, losing 0-7.
“We all played well, but it wasn’t good enough,” said senior Julia Casagrande.
Sophomore Cassie Collinson won one set, 7-5 against Amy Andrews. Collinson also kept it competitive in her other games, losing 4-6 and 5-7.
Coach Morrisette said Collinson “was in on it all the way through”.
Other competitive matches included Chloe Cullen against Allison Smith and Julia Casagrande against Eloise Heath. Cullen went 4-6 and 1-6, and Casagrande played to 3-6 both sets.
South’s next match comes against the Prout School on Tuesday, October 6th. Prout stands at 4-5 on the season.
Captains Julia Casagrande, Alexandra DiJutras, Victoria Gu, and Chloe Cullen said that the Lady Rebels hope to pick up their first win against Prout.
