Tom Higgins

Son of bussiness guru, Mark Higgins, and brother of rec. basketball Hall of Famer, Dan Higgins, Tom is making a name for himself on The Rebellion staff. When he is not playing goalie or hanging out in section 309 at URI basketball games, he is hard at work for the school newspaper as a sports reporter and a photographer.

Bill Matson

Future owner of Kenyon Floral and brother of semi-professional wrestler, Jake “The Snake” Matson, Bill Matson has become as good at writing as he is at dueling with Yu-Gi-Oh cards. This volleyball player has proven he can bump, set and spike with the best of them. As a news reporter and assistant news editor, he has done excellent work and is Rebellion adviser Mr. Blessing’s favorite student. He also wants to know why a bowl of fried rice is being considered for editor duties for his senior year.

Matthew Enright

When Matthew finishes playing for the two time defending Division 2 championship South Kingstown High School football team, he devotes his time to Amnesty International.  He also works as a page at the Rhode Island State House and a service clerk at Belmont Market.  Matt enjoys reading, writing and playing the trumpet for the high school Symphonic Band.  A first-year reporter as a senior, Matt will anchor the sports beat as both a reporter and an editorialist, just like he anchors the SKHS defensive line.

Bryce McGillivray

Bryce, an SKHS senior, is a well rounded student athlete. When she is not on the soccer field or the basketball court, she can be found reporting athletic stories for The Rebellion.

Patrick “Son of Barry” Gee

The Son of Barry Gee, aka “The Peacedale Prodigy,”  has been writing since before he was born. The offspring of the Peace Dale legend has carried on the legacy well by averaging 12 yards per carry this year for the SKHS football team. In Journalism class one often finds Gee working diligently if he is not disgusted by yet another half point fantasy football loss.

Hennessy L. Shaw

As a true “island girl,” born and raised in Hawai’i,  nothing can stop Hennessy from achieving any goal, especially running The Rebellion.  Hennessy can be found swimming, life guarding or dancing and is involved in as much as possible at school.  Returning to SKHS for her senior year, with experience as the Entertainment Editor in Texas, she is now Editor in Chief of The Rebellion newspaper.

Mike Matthews

When Mike isn’t banking threes in Rec. Basketball, he’s penning award winning editorials for The Rebellion newspaper.  In his spare time, Mike enjoys watching High School Musicals 2 & 3 and walking the back roads of Perryville.

Amy Friedrich

An SKHS junior, Amy is a good-humored and intelligent student. When not working for the newspaper, Amy enjoys playing tennis, photography, and trying to find Waldo.

 

Phil Campo

“Philicious,” as he is known to the life guarding world, is an avid athlete. He can be found running the town as captain of the cross country team. As well you can see him running the around the track from 245 till 4 every day for the rest of his senior year. He is an avid yahoo fantasy football player and dedicates his free time too playing chess. A senior this year, Phil will be working as an editor for The Rebellion.
